James Gunn’s Superman Movie Trailer Release Window Reportedly Revealed

The first trailer for James Gunn"s Superman movie will reportedly be here soon. Fans already got a good look at David Corenswet and other stars from the Superman movie"s cast when the movie started filming outdoors earlier this year. However, the first official footage from the anticipated DC Universe movie has yet to arrive. The project"s director, James Gunn, recently teased that it would not be long before the Superman movie trailer would be released, and a new update has since pinpointed when that should be.
According to a new report from Collider, the DCU Superman movie"s trailer will arrive in mid-December. The trailer is expected to play in theaters before Disney"s Mufasa: The Lion King, though the outlet mentions that the DC movie"s trailer being played before the latest entry in The Lion King franchise is not yet certain.
If the report is accurate, fans will have to wait a month at most for the first official trailer of the film that opens the way for all the planned movies in James Gunn"s DCU. December 15th marks the 46th anniversary of Christopher Reeve"s Superman: The Movie, so that would be the perfect date for the trailer to be released.
What The Superman Movie Trailer’s Release Window Means The DCU's First Film Is Seemingly Skipping A Big Event Collider mentions that "the trailer is tentatively expected to arrive online around mid-December." Based on that, it seems like there might not be an event planned for the Superman movie trailer to debut, with the footage only being dropped online at a set date. That connects with a recent update. James Gunn revealed on Threads that he will not be at CCXP in Brazil because of his busy schedule. Likewise, DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran will also be unavailable for the major event.
